Dr. Santman received his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and was a resident at the Tulane University School of Medicine, where he served as chief resident. His fellowship in Spine Surgery was at the University of California San Diego, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Although he maintains a special interest in complex cervical spine cases, Dr. Santman is well versed in the treatment of all areas of the spine for conditions ranging from arthritis and disc degeneration, to trauma, tumors, and infection. In addition to traditional surgical approaches, Dr. Santman is trained in cutting-edge technologies such as minimally-invasive lateral access approaches to the thoracic and lumbar spine.
