He completed his residency at UIC Hospital Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in Chicago and seven additional hospitals ranging from public (Cook County Hospital) to private (Lutheran General Hospital). Dr. Bierbrauer spent another year as a fellow at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microvascular Surgery in Louisville, KY. He is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with his primary interest in hand and microvascular surgery and tertiary interests in trauma care and sports medicine. Dr. Beirbrauer is married to Kimberly and his hobbies include; aquarium tending, alpine skiing and racing, mountain biking, and jogging.
