Thomas T. McCarthy, D.O.


Dr. McCarthy is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a Fellow in the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics, and on the Board of the Arthritis Foundation. He has been Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Memorial Hospital and President of Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation. As a three time honored recipient of the AOAO Ethicon award, Dr McCarthy stands out amongst his peers. He graduated from Saint Vincent College and the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, Des Moines, Iowa. He is a general orthopaedist with special training in total joint replacement surgery, hand surgery, and pediatric orthopaedic surgery from Ohio State University Hospital. He has practiced in Colorado Springs since 1977 and when he's not working enjoys basketball, golf, and wind surfing. His special interests are in total joint replacement and spine surgery.
